Coppersmith barbet is found in parts of Southeast Asia. Its length is 15-17 cm. It is green with a red forehead and a red throat and yellow cheeks. Its lower part is painted in gray and black. Coppersmith barbet lives alone or in small groups. Likes to relax in the morning on the upper branches of tall trees. His flight is straight, with quick swings. It feeds mainly on berries and flower petals, but can also eat insects. Every day, the bird eats 1.5-3 times more berries than its own weight. The male looks after the female beautifully. Courtship includes singing, head swaying, and tail waving. The breeding season is mainly from February to April. The female lays 3-4 eggs. Both sexes hatch. The incubation period is about two weeks.
